Frimley Green settled for a draw here, in a match they never looked likely to win. Needing over 8 an over for the last 15 overs of the match, they had a go, but ultimately fell well short and comfortably batted out the final two overs to seal a deserved draw. Godalming had scored 207/8 before declaring their innings, opening bowlers Julian Bland and Nick Gates toiling for 13 overs, whilst Kevin Whitehorn and David Huggett kept things tight for 18 overs in the middle of the innings. Frimley Green then started their innings steadily, but lost 3 quick wickets to put an end to any genuine hopes of victory. Gordon Marsh and Tim Jones steadied the ship, putting on 48 runs for the fifth wicket, and Gordon stuck around to the end to ensure the match finished with honours even.
