Godalming vs Frimley Green Cricket Club - Sunday 21st August 2011, 14:00

Godalming (284/7) beat Frimley Green Cricket Club (164/9) by 120 runs

Match Detail
FGCC were well beaten by an excellent Godalming side. Godalming captain H Mayne racked up a commanding 54, finishing with a 6, before retiring, whilst runs also flowed from the other end, youngster George Dukes hitting 84 whilst McGregor Cox scored 46. Rich Loosley and Mike Parry took 3 excellent catches off their own bowling. David Huggett saw 3 successive edges followed by 3 successive screams of anguish as ball evaded hand, before eventually having Cox caught by Neil Searle at mid-off. Whilst nothing went their way in the field, it looked briefly as though the tide would turn with the bat. Rich Loosley hit 4 sixes, one of them caught just over the boundary line, another of which ended in a garden. With Antony Johnson hitting a straight six of his own at the other end, the openers racked up a superb 96 partnership from just 14 overs. However, after that point the innings quickly folded, with wickets lost on 96, 114, 116, 116, 123, 123, and 135.
