Frimley Green (123/9) vs Farncombe Wanderers Cricket Club (64 all out), 04/06/2006

Despite a nightmare start, Frimley Green won this match convincingly. Losing John Sherringham and Gordon Marsh within the space of 3 balls left FGCC 2 down for 1 run, and fighting an uphill battle. The eventual total of 123/9 owed much to strong resistance from Antony Johnson, who hit a battling 34, and Tim Jones, who scored 29.
123 didn't look like a competitive total, but this soon changed as Nick Gates reduced Farncombe Wanderers to 4/2, and things only got worse for them from then on. Nick finished with the sensational figures of 8/17, including a hat-trick, and Farncombe crumbled to 64 all out.
